It can’t be because not everyone reacts to these substances. If everyone had an allergic reaction to these, then we could blame it on them.
But it’s not that simple.
The signs of an allergic reaction may include, but are not limited to:
constricted air passageways
WHAT CAUSES THE REACTION?
An allergen is nothing more than a stressor that your body is unable to deal with. You were born with the capacity to withstand and adapt to stress, and the only reason your body is unable to adapt is because your nervous system isn’t functioning properly.
Your nervous system is the master system that orchestrates your immune system, glandular system, respiratory system and every other system that reacts inappropriately to an allergen. Normally, these systems are what help you respond and adapt to the world around you, but if your nervous system isn’t working right, these systems aren’t going to be working right.
So instead of addressing the allergens, chiropractic addresses the disturbances in your nervous system that are diminishing your ability to adapt.
Think of it like this – you’re born with an empty bucket. As you encounter physical, mental, emotional, and chemical stress, that bucket fills up. If your bucket is already full and you encounter a stressor (in the form of pollen, food, or other chemicals), your bucket overflows (i.e. allergic reaction). But what’s really going on is that you’ve lost your ability to adapt.
Chiropractic care restores your body’s ability to adapt to the stressors that your body encounters on a daily basis. Consider each adjustment filling that bucket back up!
A combination of chiropractic care to improve brain and nervous system function, along with proper rest, exercise, and nutrition, strengthens your adrenal glands which can produce an overall state of health and well-being, and reduce or even eliminate allergy problems.
